A Rippling upon the Waters |

Before we call, the Father answers. Ministering beyond sight and sound, he cradles each of us in the gift of his Spirit, which coils and wraps around us as he is, sustaining the life that began in us with the gift of his Breath; for as the Father has life in himself, so has he given unto us to have life in ourselves, and to quicken whom we will. It is his good pleasure that it is so; for the gifts and callings of Elohim are without repentance.HaMashiyach is the unfailing Spirit that binds the creature and creator, pairing the living soul with the living Father in the grand tango of life. From time to time, King Messiah sends others forth in surrogacy, to accomplish some specific task, to deliver some specific message. All such servants are most holy; and among them all has not arisen a greater than Yahuchanan, known as John Baptist in the fullness of time. Y'shua was not born of a woman. He was born of himself, as the scripture hints when it asks if a woman can encompass a man. At his name, every knee shall bow. As some from the right are sent, so are some from the left. Goliath of Gath was such a one. The other-worldly threat he represents not only embodied the aggregate might of a most daunting natural adversary, he also invokes in the fearful the blasphemous vision of God that is held by those who see deity as a fierce and demanding singularity whose dictates are just too many and too burdensome to be met. Because the courage of such men fails them as they encounter scale, they are unable to recognize their maker, their master, their lover, the life within every breath they steal, believing it is the atmosphere that keeps them alive. Have not strangers given witness to the Spirit of Elohim? Why, then, should those who have been instructed in the writings that testify of him that his power, authority, and approach unto rule has any resemblance at all to the ways of a destroyer? They listen to report of his counsel as if it were a litany of demands, and his outreach is not received as an embrace, but as the beginning of an arrest. HaShem watches without blinking every moment of every split second as the rulers of Earth usurp the authority he has invested in them to prove them, and us as well. He has no need of weaponry to protect his interests and to serve his ends. He will bring order by edict as the world's errors give him reason to increase the tempo of his intent, shortening the days of darkness. He will astonish us with the compelling swirls of his strange songs, and those who have taken his name in vain will cringe in their hearts, praying for invisibility. Goliath is collared and dragged into the light to cast his shadow against our faces, that we might flee or fall where we stand. He is a simple ogre intent on paralyzing us with wonder at his disfigurements and his alien strength, but he is not unique. A Goliath lurks in the curtains of every age and in the details of every private experience. He is little more than an explanation or an excuse for our being less than we know ourselves to be. |
