Biblical names express the spiritual qualities and principles of those
things fashioned in the image and likeness of the Breath of Life c.
Names are a great river m of
Wisdom c,
whose flow is reflected m in
Creation. They are conceptual doorways to the operations of the Divine
Breath, the
Holy
Spirit c, in
the lives of its children, its families, its people, and the mixed
multitudes of Earth
m.
When biblical names are read as words within a text, they speak to the
spiritual c
contexts of the People of the Book m as
they struggle c to
be free; and when they are written in the Moses Script and studied as
holy emblems, they deepen our appreciation that, in his Wisdom, God
c
has prepared m
strong food c for
his children m;
for the glory of God’s c
counsel is reflected m
in the biblical names: they catch the Light, revealing themselves to be
among the brightest gems of Wisdom c,
mirroring its attributes m.
Names are assimilated c by
memory without much difficulty m;
but if their significance goes no deeper c than
sound
m,
their utilization as a tool of Wisdom c is
greatly impaired m,
and the biblical subtexts within which they dance c will
remain hidden m.
